Overview
About the OrionStar GreetingBot range
A GreetingBot spots people as they approach and starts the conversation itself. Visitors can ask questions out loud or tap the 14-inch screen, and the robot can lead them to a room, a stand or a table. Between visitors it can show adverts or move around a set area to draw attention. The Mini is small and light, at 1 metre tall and 21 kg, and fits through 55 cm gaps. It uses a six-microphone array that OrionStar says stays accurate in noisy rooms. The Nova is taller and uses large language models, including ChatGPT, Google and OrionStar's own, for more natural question and answer sessions. Both robots return to their charging dock on their own when the battery runs low.
