Overview
About the Elephant Robotics myCobot range
All three arms in this range have six joints and can be programmed in Python, with ROS support for more advanced work. The myCobot 280 Pi weighs 860 g and has a Raspberry Pi built in, so students can plug in a screen, keyboard and mouse and code directly on the arm. It reaches 280 mm and lifts 250 g. The myCobot 320 Pi steps up to a 350 mm working radius and 1 kg payload, with 24 V industrial I/O for linking to PLCs and sensors. The myCobot Pro 630 uses harmonic joint modules, reaches 630 mm and lifts up to 2 kg, with collision detection for working near people. Block-based tools such as myBlockly make it easy for beginners to start.
Key features
Ideal for
Where it earns its keep
Classroom robotics
Students learn joint movement, kinematics and coding with an arm small enough to sit on a desk. The built-in Raspberry Pi means no separate PC is needed per station.
Research and prototyping
Labs can test vision, grasping and ROS projects at small scale before moving to industrial arms.
Demonstrations and events
Run scripted pick-and-place or drawing demos at open days and stands to show how robot arms work.
