Overview
About the PUDU GT5
The GT5 is PUDU's wide-area mower for sites where one small machine is not enough. A 60-inch rotary deck with three blades cuts at up to two acres an hour and a 120-litre box collects clippings, leaves and light debris in the same pass. When the box is full it drives to the dump point, empties and returns to where it stopped. It maps a site by exploring it, or you geofence the areas on satellite imagery in the app, and it moves itself between pitches along mapped routes. Positioning combines RTK to 2.5 cm with 3D LiDAR and surround cameras, so it mows within 5 cm of edges, slows or stops for people and vehicles, and brakes or reroutes at water edges, steps and steep banks. The 26 kWh battery gives eight to ten hours of work and 65,000 m² per charge. At 850 kg it is delivered by trailer or haulier and normally stays on site. We are taking expressions of interest from Irish councils, campuses and multi-pitch grounds now.
Key features
Ideal for
Good to know
- •A charge point on site: 3 kW standard (8 h) or optional 6 kW fast charger (4 h)
- •Open sky for RTK positioning; heavy tree canopy reduces accuracy
- •Maintained turf, slopes up to 20°
- •Delivered by trailer or haulier; a hard-standing shed for storage and charging
Where it earns its keep
A council parks depot
One GT5 covers a large park or several smaller ones in a day, collects the clippings and leaves, and reports every task. A single unit falls in the three-quotes band for public procurement.
A university campus
Playing fields, lawns and verges on one map. Run it overnight at ten hours a charge and the grounds team starts the day with the mowing done.
A multi-pitch GAA or soccer complex
Four or five pitches mapped as zones. The machine transits between them on its own and the clippings go in the box, not on the next pitch.
