Commercial Cleaning Robots Compared
Scrubbers, sweepers and premium robot vacuums do very different jobs. We compare the PUDU CC1 and MT1 ranges, the Keenon KLEENBOT range and the OrionStar CleaniBot S55 Pro, and explain where a robot like the Dreame X60 fits instead.
01
Three kinds of cleaning robot
Cleaning is one of the biggest markets for service robots. In its September 2026 report, the IFR ranked professional cleaning as the third largest application for professional service robots, with floor cleaning the main use.
The robots in this guide fall into three groups:
- Scrubber robots wet-clean hard floors and usually sweep, vacuum and mop as well. The PUDU CC1 range, Keenon KLEENBOT C40 and C55 and OrionStar CleaniBot S55 Pro are here.
- Sweeper robots do dry work on large areas: litter, dust and debris in halls, warehouses and car parks. The PUDU MT1 range and Keenon KLEENBOT C30 are here.
- Premium robot vacuums such as the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete are built for homes and small premises, with a self-cleaning dock instead of large tanks.
Choosing the wrong group is the most common mistake. A sweeper will not remove a sticky spill, and a scrubber is overkill for a carpeted office.

03
Which robot suits which site
Small café, clinic, shop or library (100 to 1,000 m²). The KLEENBOT C20 is only 35 cm tall, so it gets under desks and shelving, and it sweeps, vacuums and mops with separate clean and dirty water tanks.
Offices, schools and hotels with mixed floors. The PUDU CC1 covers four routines in one machine. The CC1 Pro adds a rear AI camera that spots missed stains and re-cleans them, and it detects carpet and switches to vacuuming by itself. The KLEENBOT C40 handles short-pile carpet as well as hard floors.
Spaces in use during cleaning. The CleaniBot S55 Pro runs as quietly as 55 dB at 1 m, according to OrionStar, which suits hotel corridors, libraries and offices during the day. The CC1 is rated under 70 dB(A).
Large dry areas: halls, warehouses, transport hubs. The PUDU MT1 uses AI cameras to spot litter, sweeps up to 1,800 m² an hour and has a 35 L bin. The MT1 Vac adds carpet detection and H11 filtration.
Car parks and covered outdoor areas. The MT1 Max has 3D LiDAR and IP54 sealing for semi-outdoor sites. PUDU advises against cleaning in extreme weather.
Very large commercial floors. The KLEENBOT C55 has a 550 mm scrubbing width, a 60 L clean water tank and two swappable batteries for long shifts.
04
Water, docking and emptying
Scrubber robots are only as autonomous as their water supply. Someone has to fill clean water, empty dirty water and clean the tanks, unless a station does it.
- PUDU CC1: an optional dock and mobile water station let it charge, refill, drain and add detergent without plumbing changes. Both are sold separately.
- Keenon KLEENBOT C40: supports automatic fresh water supply and waste drainage. The C55 can use a workstation connected to the building's pipes.
- OrionStar S55 Pro: the wastewater tank lifts out and can be fully rinsed.
- PUDU MT1 and MT1 Max: an optional auto-empty station tips the bin into an on-site container.
Ask any supplier which stations are included in the price and whether they need a water connection, a drain or just a power socket.
05
What robots still miss
Even the best robot leaves work for people:
- Edges and corners. The S55 Pro keeps about 10 cm from walls by default, or 3 to 5 cm in manual mode. Skirting and corners still need a mop or a detail pass.
- Stairs, lifts without integration, and very tight spaces. Most of these robots need at least 70 cm to pass.
- Spot cleaning. Spills, chewing gum and heavy soiling usually need a person, although the CC1 Pro and MT1 do some spot work.
- Above-floor work. Toilets, desks, glass and touch points are still manual.
The best results come from pairing a robot with a smaller, better-focused cleaning team, not from removing the team. Our cleaning robots versus traditional cleaning guide goes into the trade-offs.
06
Where a premium robot vacuum fits
Not every site needs a commercial machine. For a boutique hotel room, a B&B, a short-term let, a small office or a showroom, a premium robot vacuum and mop can be the better tool.
The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete in our Dublin fleet has 42,000 Pa suction, an arm that extends the mop up to 18 cm into corners and along skirting, and a dock that empties dust, washes the mops in 100 degree C water and dries them with hot air. It drops to 89 mm to get under furniture and runs for up to 165 minutes.
Where it stops making sense: large open floors, heavy commercial soiling, or areas that need scrubbing with large water tanks. That is the job for the robots above.
Renting the X60 is also a low-cost way to see how your staff and guests react to a cleaning robot before investing in a commercial one.

Trialling and buying
Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete: rent it from our Dublin fleet. Pricing is on quote.
PUDU, Keenon and OrionStar robots: buy outright through Robots International, which Rentabot is an affiliate of, or send us a rental request. We source rental units through reseller partners case by case, so availability varies and pricing is on quote.
Before any trial, have floor plans, floor types, cleaning hours and current cleaning tasks ready. That makes it much easier to match a robot to the site. Our cleaning robot costs guide has more on budgeting.
